Music Video: Ten Years After – I’d Love to Change the World

Ten Years After
I’d Love to Change the World
(Peace for Everyone)

Evans Liberal Politics, August 13, 2011: I remember crying the first time I saw this video and it still affects me strongly. The song is of course Ten Years After’s biggest hit, but here the video is very moving too, promoting world peace and tolerance.

This is the fourth time we have posted this video on Evans Liberal Politics and I also have it on my personal YouTube channel. If you don’t make time to watch this, and if it doesn’t move you, I conclude that there is something seriously wrong with you. This is an important and moving video (and Ten Years After really rocks!). ~ Paul Evans

Liberal Christian Rock
with a message for you

Evans Liberal Politics, May 20, 2011, originally published as its own page: November 21, 2010, by Paul Evans:

I feel so fervently about my faith, and love this music so much, that I want to call it to your attention and posted it as an update to the blog. I have been collecting music to stream for you on Evans Liberal Politics since I started this site, back in November of 2008. Please feel encouraged to take a look at 230 songs collected together on Paul’s Playlist of Rock, Pop & Electronic Hits on five pages, which I have painstakingly gathered together for our viewers, in some cases paying as much as $30 or more each for the rights to stream a particular song on the playlist.

Here I have gathered together the best songs of faith on Evans Liberal Politics. There is an underlying message of social justice and strong faith in God and Jesus. I concede nothing to conservative Christianity. I am BOTH Christian and liberal in my website’s message, and I make no apologies for my liberal views.

Listening to this playlist, I guess some might accuse me of a sort of “liberation theology.” Actually, my social positions are not based on any particular theological position, per se but rather strictly on my Christology and the caring that Jesus’ life represents to me, as shown in the Gospels. In the second place, I’ll take any accusation of leaning towards liberation theology as a compliment, thank you. But mainly, these songs are the essence of what Christianity means to me in music. I hope that you enjoy this music and that the message of faith and caring might make a difference in your lives.
