RNC Chairman Michael Steele comes out swinging against the most popular aspect of the stimulus bill: massive spending to put people to work rebuilding America’s crumbling infrastructure.
Even though continuing to invest in infrastructure work has the potential to create millions of private sector jobs, literally paving the way to economic recovery, Steele says he’s against it because it is “government contract work” and “that’s not creating jobs.”
