This whole playlist is dedicated to the the quiet of the Night,
…to God Who IS so wonderful,
…and to my father, Dr. Jack E. Evans.

I have always loved the night, found my peace and strength during it, and knew it’s quietude. On the other hand, “darkness” is very pervasive as a metaphor for evil. As a “decent”, Christian man, I enjoy the quiet and solitude of the night. A friend wrote: “at night, you can see the stars.” The “enemy” — illogical things like uncaring, hatred and ignorance — comes against us at all times of day or night, in my experience.

Always remember to have hope and to trust in the goodness of the Universe. .

My survival, peace and sanity were preserved for me in the quiet of the night, and I am a “night owl,” partly of necessity with the “24 hour news cycle” I report on. My “rescue” has always been, as a completely normal human, interacting with the special people in my life. I really do need this in my life and it helps me quite a bit. I had felt quite alone and separated from having friends even quite recently. And new friends are always welcome! Why not email me and say hi.

All that really matters, all I think God really cares about, is that we live caring lives and not wrongly hurt anyone. His last request on earth was that we “feed his sheep.” Was he just talking about spiritual matters? Anyway, that is why I am a Democrat, even when it is welfare, it is so helpful to those in need. And Jesus cared about need. And the Universe is a big place and there are “some things Google can’t answer”.

I do not believe that Light is wholly good and darkness evil. Nor do I believe that we are alone in the universe.

In keeping with my thoughts about “caring”, the main reason I am a Democrat is that I feel we should be “our brothers’ keeper.” To me, however flawed they are, the Democrats are more about that than are the Republicans. Just the way it is. And no matter what you think, Obama is “the best one around”, regardless of party affiliation. I hope you can get that.

By the way, I’ve been scammed a few times, am actually pretty tough…. give it up. You’ll NEVER meet a more loving man, though, but don’t even think about it.

Here is a sincere warning to those with evil in their heart. Read the document; you aren’t fooling anyone. I’m pretty well known. Please just go away or you’ll be exposed.

My passion and my hope for the future have been to meet some fine, sexy “family values” lady who might understand someone who is smart and different, hopefully getting a decent office job, my father, and Evans Liberal Politics. Truly, I am blessed, for the Holy Spirit indwells me and I know God. Whatever else He is, I know that he IS love. The rest doesn’t matter, does it? Well, yes, but not really.

Music empowers my life. Born in 1957 in Washington, D.C., I started listening to a transistor radio in 1967 in St. Louis, Missouri. Even before this, as I child, I was aware of The Beatles and the Stones and listened in fascination as the older people I knew played this wonderful, new music. In jr. high and high school I played the cello.

Collecting in earnest beginning in 1971, I remember that my first album was The Doobie Brothers, “The Captain and Me.” Somehow I skipped the 8 track stage, thank goodness, but I have a very extensive vinyl, cassette, CD and digital collection, and if you want to talk with me about music, I’m always happy about that. I use music to shape my mood, to energize, cool down, for inspiration and however I want to feel, and I enjoy sharing it with people and talking about it. I couldn’t imagine how barren my life would be without music!

Paul’s Playlist is some very personal music for me. Buying music rights to stream music online is expensive and this music is not only important to me, somehow the playlist, down to the details of it’s order, represents my life’s journey.

To find out all about me and my rather remarkable family, please see the About Paul Evans page of Evans Politics.
