Really, three of my good friends are in the IT business. Ryan Watson is a professional working in networking and has been working with these beasts for 20 years. My experience with computers goes back to at least 1978. Even before that, in junior high school (1970), I was introduced to an early personal computer, and the class did some programming and problem solving with it. In 1978 I took a college course in Waterloo Five FORTRAN programming, having had no introductory course. I really have to say I enjoyed the logic a lot although at the time I did not have the needed preparation in calculus (they let me take the course anyway). Then, in the early and mid eighties, when I was a graduate student at The University of Akron in earth science, I used their mainframe quite a bit. Using mainframe programming in a more advanced FORTRAN version, I got an “A” in advanced structural geology. Then, nothing much for several years except I did have an old 486 PC when I took a course from NRI in Paralegal Studies (Highest Honors, there).

I’ve been working with PC’s intensively for seven years, and this is my third year in website design. I’ve been good friends with the owner of a computer repair shop since 2005. And all that while, he’s been teaching me and I’ve been working very intensively with several computers that I have owned. Also personal computers belonging to friends and acquaintances. I first got good using a PC running Windows ME (that monstrosity of an operating system!). I messed around a little before that, but since then, most of my free waking hours have been spent with PC’s, and I have fixed many dozens of them.

I’ll drive to your location, within a radius of 60 miles. That’s Cleveland and it’s suburbs, Brunswick, Medina, Mansfield, Akron, Wadworth, Massilon, Orrvile, Wooster and Canton. Anywhere within about 60 miles of Wooster for a flat $20 fee. ($10 for Wooster, $15 in Wayne County, guys). We offer experienced computer repair for less than anywhere in northeast Ohio. And we come to you. Alternatively, I can “remote in” to your computer, take control of it while we are on the phone, and fix it that way.

The fact is, I don’t have Microsoft’s A+ certification which is the main credential in PC repair. SO YOU SAVE A LOT OF MONEY with me! But the basic knowledge I have of personal computers is rock solid. My friend who owns the computer repair store has taught me well.

In other words, these are basic programs that every computer professional has on his or her personal computer. I carry them around on a USB drive and they are yours for free, as part of my repair services. I can provide these programs for you via the USB drive and with them, fix most computer woes and make your computer run like it’s new.
