Capitalism:
A Love Story

Amazon Customer Reviews

The short list of documentary film classics has yet another wonderful addition by legendary filmmaker Michael Moore. It is a visual spanning of the history of corporate influence over our political leaders and how this has poisoned the entire establishment nearly beyond repair: 4 out of 5 stars, but bound to be controversial.

Roger & Me

Amazon Customer Reviews

His first movie, “Roger & Me” is perhaps his best. Michael Moore is the voice to the voiceless in this true story about big business taking advantage of the little guy. GM closes it’s factories in Flint, MI putting thousands of people out of work. The entire film revolves around the hardworking people of Flint as well as Moore’s quest to find GM CEO, Roger Smith: 4 out of 5 stars.

Amazon Customer Reviews

This Blu-ray is the movie only, with some basic search/bookmarking features and subtitles. Nonetheless a high quality release: for three hours, your senses will be completely assaulted and your mind will be dumbstruck. 3 3/4 stars out of five because the edition is not full featured (new version out later this year).

Bulworth

Amazon Customer Reviews

This is one of the most bitter, funniest and harshest movies in the 90′s. Maybe the most. Warren Beatty, in his fourth film as a director – and his first one as a screenwriter – is great as this democrat, over-exhausted, suicidal and desperate senator who turns crazy during his campaign and lets down the bla-bla-bla for some real talking. 4 stars out of 5.

Bush’s Brain

Amazon Customer Reviews

Bush’s brain depicts the tactics and character of George W. Bush’s political consultant, Karl Rove. They describe Rove as an American Svenghali who will stop at nothing to get his candidate elected. They provide compelling proof of the history of dirty tricks he has been involved in: 3 1/2 out of 5 stars: Republcans HATE this film.

Electile Dysfunction

Amazon Customer Reviews

"When a title of a political documentary can piggyback off of the failure of man meat, you know the makers want to sound jaded. This work wants to draw in people who don’t vote or don’t consider voting a priority. Actually, you can tell the makers of the work really want everyday people to be politicized" 4 out of 5 stars.

Outfoxed: Rupert
Murdoch’s War On Journalism

Amazon Customer Reviews

As if you didn’t know already, this movie makes it clear: Fox is only nominally a “news” organization. It’s main purpose and goals are to be the propaganda arm for the Republican Party: 4 out of 5 stars.

Manufacturing Consent:
Noam Chomsky and the Media

Amazon Customer Reviews

This is one of the most influential documentaries I’ve ever seen. It has affected my life in ways I never imagined; Manufacturing Consent sticks to media influence; how corporations control the media, and that the media is not free speech since it’s owned by corporations. 4 1/2 out of 5 stars.

Food, Inc.

Amazon Customer Reviews

“Food, Inc.” does more than serve as an exposé on the United States food industry–it connects the dots between the nefarious, contemptuous business practices of multinational corporations and their best friends, the compromised government regulatory agencies such as the USDA, FDA, and EPA: 4 1/2 out of 5 stars.
